Fundraising and Fun

 2010 fundraising- Triathlon, Hamburger Fry, Fishing Contest, Fall Fest, and more to come!

The Water Carnival committee members strive to provide quality entertainment, family fun and new and exciting events each year.  We couldn’t do this without the monetary contributions from our many sponsors and the physical contributions from our many volunteers.  However, we do have to host a variety if fundraising events each year as well to keep the excitement of water carnival weekend fresh!  Here are a few of our events and some photos too.  While it is a lot of hard work planning and coordinating the event, you can see that we also enjoy a good time as well! 

Water Carnival Triathlon – this annual event is more of a tradition than a fundraiser.  It is hosted by Novy’s Haven in Hoyt Lakes each February and consists of pool, darts and holey boards.  While we only make a small profit off the event, the attendees and planners all have a wonderful time!  

Hamburger Fry – this annual event is held the first weekend of March at the Hoyt Lakes VFW.  It is held in conjunction with the Mens’ No-check hockey tournament and proves to be a successful event.  It must be all that hockey that makes them so hungry for more cheeseburgers!  The locals do enjoy them as well.
